So now that I'm out of school for the day, I don't have class again until next Friday due to a little old thing in Louisiana called Mardi Gras. Ahh its so nice to get off of school for a holiday that you get drunk for and then have a major hangover for about a week straight.

I'll probably be going to a few parades in New Orleans on Monday and Tuesday so I'm looking forward to that. No school is completely an upside to celebrating Fat Tuesday.

Now I'm off to take a nap.. I haven't gotten much sleep this week due to the rapid weather change here and me getting sick as a result. So off to bed I go.

Today, as of about 3 hours ago, I decided to go on a diet. I was watching Bring It On: All or Nothing, and was just in awe of all the girls who very in shape, and looked super great. I mean I'm not trying to be Nicole Richie thin, or even thin... I just want to be toned.

I'm not fat by any means... but in shape, I am not. I'm a sophomore in college and as the saying goes, I def. gained the freshman 15. In high school I was really thin, mainly because I was a late bloomer and had like no curves until 11th grade. My name is Mallory, and my friend from musical theatre used to call me Malnutrition as a joke. By like senior year I was normal sized. I am 5'2" and I weighed like 120, and by the mercy of God I actually had breasts. And my butt is abnormally large, it has been since I was young.

Well once I started college I was always in the union eating, and I was addicted to either the mocha fraps or caramel macchiatos at Starbucks. Let's just say that isn't the best diet to have. So I've over exceeded the freshman 15 by like 10 pounds... well to be fair its been more than just freshman year that I gained it. I am totally not satisfied with my body, but everyone tells me I'm crazy and that I have a good healthy body. I just really would feel great if I could gain some muscle and lose some fat. I've done fad diets to lost weight for events that I needed to hurry and be fit for, but it never works. So I decided to just start counting calories, not like one of those freak anorexic girls, but just to guide myself to eating healthier foods. And my mom is like super fit, so I enlisted her to help me. We are going to start doing cardio videos every afternoon and do some weightlifting to tone my muscles.

I'm actually excited about this diet, or shall I say lifestyle change. So I guess on occasion I will write a journal on my progress (let's hope there will be progress haha)

Alrighty, I'm off to watch Little Miss Sunshine at some point tonight!!!
Sooo this is my first livejournal post. Well not technically, I used to have a livejournal back in like 11th grade. But I never really posted on it and then I ended up losing my password, so needless to say this is my new account and I will hopefully post here a bunch.

Okay, first off, my media writing class can go to hell right now. I'm a sophomore in college right now, but I swear I feel like I'm back in elementary learning about sentence structure and punctuation. Writing for journalist purposes is a lot different than writing literature. I mean learning AP form is kicking my ass... because I have to look up practically every word in my book and see what form I use. But enough about stuff that you could totally care less about.

As my name infers, I am a huge Claire/Peter fan from Heroes. So any fics about them completely make my day a little bit brighter. If you have any you should def. let me know and I'll read and review just for you!! Heroes really rocks so hard right now. I just actually started watching over the winter holidays, and I totally fell in love.

By the way, if anyone can help me fix up my page that would be greatly appreciated. I'm a dummy when it comes to this stuff so any help is beyond great. I mean, I have a myspace, but that's a pretty easy website to navigate.
